Thank you for your interest in Mountain Community Fellowship.  As a church, we believe that our God given task is to "glorify God and enjoy Him forever."  The following commitments will help you understand who we are as a church, and why we do what we do.

We are committed to the Word of God:
The Word of God is everything to the church.  Without it, we are simply an organization, but with it, we are the center and focus of God’s work on the Earth.  Without the Word, we are without hope, but with it, we have the only means of salvation.  Without the Word of God, we are left to struggle along finding a way to do what we think is best.  With the Word of God, we can live in assurance that there is a path of obedience to the Lord.  

We are committed to the People of God:
The People of God are ultimately a product of God’s work.  God calls, God saves, and God uses us for our good and His glory.  Ultimately, Mountain Community Fellowship is a work of God achieved by His grace and for His glory.  We are a people of His Word.  Though like all Christians we struggle constantly to maintain our faithfulness to His Word, we have joined together as a faith family to live as faithfully as we can under the gracious authority of our Lord.  This often means that we do things differently than other Christian churches.

We are committed to Sound Doctrine:
A great error of today’s church is echoed in the maxim, “doctrine divides, but Christ unites.”  The problem with this type of thinking is that Christ Himself rejected it!  At Mountain Community Fellowship we want to line up together behind doctrine which is biblical, strong, and encouraging.  We don’t want to line up behind anybody’s view of who Jesus is, but who the Bible says He is.  

We are committed to Missions:
As David Platt, the author of Radical reminds us, the church is God’s plan “A”, and there is no plan “B”.  How important is the church of the living God?  So important that Jesus hangs the entire mission on this one group of individuals who have messy lives, and who daily need His mercy and grace. Mountain Community Fellowship is committed to taking the gospel to our neighbors and the nations.
